The Premium Beef Network (PBN) is a Consulting and Business Development Company jointly formed to better market the products and services of the principals and our network relationships. The PBN is co-owned by Pratt Feeders, LLC, of Pratt, Kansas, a large commercial cattle feeding entity with a one-time capacity in excess of 100,000 head and Giles Enterprises, LLC, of Ashland, Kansas, a Beef Business Consult and Genetics Provider.
The aforementioned companies or their principals have an interest in beef processing through their individual ownership in U.S. Premium Beef (USPB). U.S. Premium Beef owns a majority and controlling interest in National Beef Packing Co. (NBP), the fourth largest beef processor in the United States. National Beef operates two of the industry's largest processing plants and has several case-ready facilities throughout the country and owns the Kansas City Steak Company, a portion control and Internet sales store.
Respectively, the General Managers of Pratt Feeders and Giles Enterprises are Jerry Bohn and Kelly Giles. Jerry currently serves as a Policy Director for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and is a past President of the Kansas Livestock Association and a past board member of U.S. Premium Beef. Kelly served as a founding member of the Board of Directors of U.S. Premium Beef and is a former Director of the Kansas Livestock Association.
